Steve
The 'Flyover' is anything between the eastern and western mountain ranges. Of the USA.

Alright, so I lamented the K-3 thing, then caved . . . apart from the fact it struggles to switch on with the grip attached I'm starting to like the thing.

Noise can be controlled up to ISO 3200 if exposure is good. If. Topaz DeNoise in CS6 works well with this. Shooting in RAW DNG with all in camera noise reduction and other corrections (DR related etc) set to zero.

Anyone got any tips on settings for the RAW shooter?

What does that have to do with this thread? confused2
Just kidding. Congratulations. I'm not sure what you mean by tips for the raw shooter. The only difference between shooting raw and shooting jpeg is that you have more control over the final version with raw. All the same principles apply; you just have a greater "oops" latitude with raw.
Now back to your regularly scheduled ramblings.

Therapy.

Cooking oysters ruins them.

Will making hociR make Tokyo any less doomed? Or quite the opposite?!

That ought to be thunk through before characterising any action as "very nice".
