Old saying: "Birds of a feather ..." ... are all found on this cuckoo bird thread!

All the more the reason I'm still not get a K-3, because with the next generation, it will become the "K-3 Classic" ... and the next generation will be called the "K-3some" thing ... Yeck, yet again. J

Absolutely! Once it was revealed that K-3 is code-speak for a deviant act and not just a hociR plot it is just too much to bear.

What's in a name ... "The hociR, the hociR"
Maybe that's what they should name the FF Pentax, the K-y?

We had the K-x, why not?

I read someone saying that, but I can still unlike a post that I have liked.

Not that I would.

Said before I am very serious about "likes". Once I commit to a like and click the button, that is it. Done deal.

When I like, it is forever with me.

I'm like that you know.

QuoteOriginally posted by savoche Quote
Nope. I've noticed that when giving or receiving likes they are not always showing up. I just went to the Post-a-thon top 20 spamming list, and it says I have received 3 likes today. I have counted 5, and they're still there to see on my posts.
I'm like, thinking that there may be some database errors happening, like with all this massive activity.

Like, it could happen.

QuoteOriginally posted by savoche Quote
And this is for fresh posts, mind you. Likes received for older posts are not counted in the Like-a-thon, it seems.
Like yep. Like that is how it is stated, like, in the rulebook.

Like yesterday's post today and like, it adds to the persons grand total, but, like, does not, like, you know, count for today's score.

Like, do you know what I mean?

QuoteOriginally posted by savoche Quote
But now I'm sorely tempted to like your post just in order to take it back!
*sigh*

Like, if you must.

Like, I cannot control what others do, like, you know?.

For the Post-A-Thon I believe only the first Like by each member is counted. After that, Like's by the same member for a member add to the Total Likes in Member Profile but don't count for the Post-A-Thon.
Yes, that is how the rulebook states it.

I have been tempted to go through and like a certain member's posts, all their posts for the entire past month, just to see if it has any effect on how much that individual reciprocates.

But that borders on manipulation, and my conscience won't let me do that sort of thing.

This hasn't been a fun day. I was gone this morning, but I'm back now; one kidney stone lighter.
So yes, someone IS watching. :EYES:

Ohhhh!!!!

I've been fortunate and not had to deal with them things. But I know enough about them to know they are no fun at all.

I'm feelin' for ya Jim!

I had to go in for a systoscopy Monday. I had the procedure done when I was 10 47 years ago, but the systoscope was much bigger and rigid back then.

The Quack made out like these days it is no big deal, the scope is "much smaller", and they "do them in the office, all the time". "Its all fiber optic now", he says. "Just about every patient I saw in the waiting room had it done" he says. "A routine procedure" he says.

"No discomfort at all", he says.

Uh huh.

The thing is about the diameter of a pencil.

It felt like one too.

And as much as I tried to relax I could not. And for the rest of Monday, all of Tuesday and Wednesday, and part of today it has felt like I was passing razor blades.

Ugh.

I think doctors sit around in their spare time dreaming up ways to torture us.

I'm gonna use a K3 to give him a colonoscopy.

At least my ENT surgeon said "this is gonna sting" before having an elephant step on my face. I never actually saw the elephant, but trust me, it was there.

The thing that got me was the guy played it all down as if it was as simple as inserting a catheter. At least he could have mentioned that there would be some discomfort afterwards.

I think that we should be able to return the favor anytime a Quack touches us. If it has any pain associated with it, we should be able to give it back in the same amount and in the same place.

You can bet that things would become much less painful.

Hey, where's our Resident Nurse?

Why hasn't she weighed in here yet?

I bet she is taking one of her "naps".

Yeah, that's it, she's takin' a nap!

People start discussing medical procedures and pain and the medical professionals become scarce!

{Oh, hi Amy, how ya doin'?

I really am enjoying my K-5ii. And I probably never would have bought it if not for this forum. Granted, it's also shown me just how spectacularly BAD I am at photography & especially how critical my lack of knowlede/abillity regarding processing software is. That's ok. I'm still enjoying the ride!
Dansamy,

This is called learning a new camera. Your photos are sharp, clear and have no hociR artifacts. The K3, I understand, has a Menu option for control of hociR artifacts, specifically chromatic bastardizations and orange fringing. Never have seen orange fringing, but what do I know? The new menu option is buried deeply in submenus. I downloaded the K3 manual, even though I will not buy a K3, to see just how far hociR was willing to go to correct the name badge. "We don't need no stinking badges!" (Treasure of the Sierra Madre, thanks to John Huston).
