Sure, if you dont look at the fact that it was bought under my amazon account, with my credit card, I use it because she loves the K-7 still, sure she owns it.

It is odd how photography is, and is not, allowed in our world.

You go in for one procedure or an other and various forms of imaging are almost always involved. And patients and their families surely must be allowed to take pictures.

Yet the staff is excluded.
I am not happy. The doctor sends me for an image, a fancy one, and then looks at it for about 5 seconds and says you're OK, just like a teenager looking at a facebook photo. But that image cost me $500.

I heard about one hospital insurance system. Problem - too many images done at too much cost. So the insurance pays if the image leads to a positive diagnosis of what was suspected. The doctor pays if it was done frivolously.

A few months back I had an unexplained abdominal pain, about where the gallbladder would be.

Several blood and urine tests, cat scan, MRI, X-rays, ultrasound, etc., about $10,000 in diagnostic stuff, and they found no reason for the pain.

They did however, find a non-remarkable cyst on my right kidney, and a microscopic amount of blood in the pee.

Guess what?

I had to go see a urologist, and he got out the systoscope.

Still no problems found.

I really dislike doctors.

Almost as much as I dislike insurance companies.

When I had a sinus thing, my first ENT surgeon gave me a CD with the stack of images, which the second surgeon didn't even look at (of course). And the 2nd radiology department looked at me funny when I said I'd like a copy of the scans they did, so that I could run it through the computer and look at it myself.

Not to be vain, but I have a really cool skull!

(Too bad they didn't shoot slices for the top & bottom, but no way am I going back to get the rest!)

Yeah, the K45 could take a dual-core (in theory), but it couldn't cool it adequately even with a noisy fan on the back. When mine finally succumbed to Chinese-capacitor-syndrome, I went the other way and put in a low-power mini-ITX Atom board. It's enough for browsing and office work, needs less than 15 Watts, and is almost silent. When I need processing power, I fire up the quad-core in the tower case.
