Cuban coffee is the same sort of fuel...explains a lot about certain aspects of life in Miami

I haven't eliminated it totally -- I do have one (um, large) regular brew before hitting the road for work, otherwise there would be some difficulty driving a long distance at oh-dark-thirty. I take my own thermos of decaf to work; the boss has been known -- I am not making this up! -- to brew office coffee with garlic in it.

You can't do it cold turkey. Ugly, unpleasant. If you brew your own, get the decaf and gradually proportion it in. A few days 25/75 decaf/regular, a few days 50/50, then 75/25 before it's all decaf.
