Cuban coffee is the same sort of fuel...explains a lot about certain aspects of life in Miami

Years and years ago I had to cut caffeine (doctor's orders, y'know). Did it gradually over about two or three weeks. I haven't eliminated it totally -- I do have one (um, large) regular brew before hitting the road for work, otherwise there would be some difficulty driving a long distance at oh-dark-thirty. I take my own thermos of decaf to work; the boss has been known -- I am not making this up! -- to brew office coffee with garlic in it. Only he knows why...

Ughhh. That throbbing between the temples.
Indeed. And nothing for it, except more caffeine...

Well, my co-workers have unanimously voted that I should give up cussing instead of caffeine. (I think they have PTSD from my last effort to quit caffeine!)
You can't do it cold turkey. Ugly, unpleasant. If you brew your own, get the decaf and gradually proportion it in. A few days 25/75 decaf/regular, a few days 50/50, then 75/25 before it's all decaf.

Repeating myself (from another thread)...

Hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt...

Mr. Orchid describes the chocolate I prefer as "weapons grade"...

Yes Sir.
If I was made to make a choice. Chocolate would be right there with Bacon, cheese, blood-pancakes, liver-casserole, pickled herring, rutabaga casserole and Valio yogurt.
