Racer worked at the power company for 30 years. I am retiring soon from the same place with just over 18. Whenever anyone asks what the place is like to work at we both have the same response.
"Picture if you will, a zoo, in an insane asylum."
Although I have not read this thread beginning to end, Racer has related much of it to me, and I have skimmed a few posts.
It is the epitome of the power company. Zoo, asylum, insanity, all of that. Somehow I wonder how I ever let him pressure me to even read any of this. Don't get me wrong, you all seem like very nice people. But the meandering and disjointed nature of the topics here are unusual.
Like sitting in a bar but not drinking, and listening to all the people who have imbibed varying amounts of alcohol babble away. At least Racer is not hanging out in a real bar, spending too much money on booze, only to come home smelling like a brewery, ready to pass out. He really likes joining in the discussion.
Why is beyond me.
You folks have fun.
