How about another smelly food...durian anyone?*

Try the logic. All my friends say they like durian (I like it too). But they are from SEA. So I say to them that they only say they like it because if they really liked it they would allow it into hotels and public transport.

OK.
More palatable Filipino foods I have had...
My other neighbor, (a retired jar-head) one of the nicest guys I have ever had the pleasure to meet, married to a Filippino also. Invites us to their home for a party. There is theFilipino Pancit Recipe - Pinch of Yum This was for the masses. (It is absolutely fantastic BTW).
I wanted to know what was really being cooked in the kitchen, in that steaming pot. Got warned ahead of time, was told by the ladies that a Northern European would not like this soup.
Insisted on having some and then asked for second serving.
Spicy Blood soup...can`t go wrong with that

K3 can not top Pancit. I am safe for now.
They might have called it "salty chicken blood soup".

We're gonna have to find something other than gross smells & foods to discuss. Can't we go back to bacon, cheese, beer?

Wellllllll… The tripod and experimentation advice that all those guru types have dropped on you should help with that. If you've got a laptop, you could take it along and get a better preview of why works and what doesn't, sitting in the car instead of going home and doing 2 notes.. Will you need a bodyguard?

Would the city skyline be enhanced by addition of some cheese, bacon, or beer? It certainly seems to do things for this thread! But it won't lead to purchase of a K-3…

I will need a bodyguard, actually. The selected bridge is in what can only be described as a rough part of town. Which is why my husband will be escorting us. And we won't overstay our welcome. So, we might have to make two trips for that reason alone.

Dusk will be safer on the "least likely time to get murdered" front, but less safe on the "might get hit by a semi hauling hazmat" front. Middle of the night will be safer on the big truck aspect, less so on the thug life aspect. Either way, we will not be going alone.

Have you got any water? A lake? River? I love night scenes with reflections. All the same principles referred to in the thread, of course. You'll also have a full moon rising on Sunday and pretty close on Saturday.

I would think that dawn/pre-dawn would be safer. My experience in dealing with low-lifes is that they are generally lazy and don't like to get up all that early,

The only reason I can think of is that you have the default subscription mode set to instant email notification in the User CP. If that's not the case, post the above question in the Site Help forum and Adam will be able to answer it.

River will be between the camera & the skyline. So, it will be the foreground.

That's a better idea than dusk. Of course, that means I have to get my arse up too!

I work every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. So it can't be dawn on Saturday or Sunday morning. Monday morning, yes.

Can the remote release be tripped by a smartphone? Or do I need to order a remote? Like, really quick? I do have Amazon Prime. I need to do this probably Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday morning. At least the first run.
