No K3 needed.

This is what those of us who don't feel the need to prove anything drive around town. Automatic CVT and all.

If manuals are so wonderful why does Ram programming tune the CTD to more torque output for the auto than the manual?
Hmmmmmmmmmm?

I was told that the clutch is the weak link for towing purposes. Whether that is really true or not I don't know.

If I buy a new one I imagine I will go with an auto since I am tired of shifting gears.

I like the transmissions which allow auto function in some places and manual selection of the transmission ratio with the built-in function of making the internal changes to respond to my commands.

Most of the time the auto takes care of it and manual control when you get a need to have more control.

Also good for a car driven by several different people of different interest and ability in driving.

The automatic does not shock the drive-line like a manual transmission could do.
Just picture Joe the Average revving up and popping the clutch while hooked to a loaded trailer.
Even a hociR could fail under such peak torque.

Such young Subarus. My 2000 Forester is at 167,000. Already got the timing belt. Shocks coming soon. Pulling a camper trailer over passes at 11,000 ft. Yeah, baby.

But no sign of a hociR anywhere. And no parts labelled K-3.

What the Hell is that?

I suppose that the automatic, having a planetary/sun gear arrangement will be able to spread more load over the (effective) amount of gear teeth, as opposed to the basic gear engagement in a manual gearbox.

But add one of the twin shaft Roadranger 9 or 10 speed transmissions and all bets are off.

Can you imagine having 13 forward gears? Then figure how many times a driver will shift over 500,000 miles.

I've never counted how many times I shift in a day at the wheel, but it is a lot. My days can be as long as 11 hours, and I can cover about 700 to 800 miles in a day, provided I put in a full day, everyday.

That's a lot of gear shifting.

Those Formula One boys got nothin' on me.

Cross my heart this is a true and accurate account of a moment last summer.

After his first year of marriage my son and I had lunch and he talked about his relationship with his father-in-law.

"Nice guy," he said, "but no left foot."

For a moment I thought he was talking about soccer. Then a grin slowly spread across my face.

"Nice guy." I replied. "Shoots Nikon."

A grin slowly spread across his face.

That's my muscle car. I don't like driving the truck 1.5 miles at a time, especially in the winter.
It's a Chevy Spark. 1.2L 4cyl with a CVT. 49 hwy, 35ish in town.

So a 10 gallon tank should last you about a month.

Spark, eh?

The name illicits thoughts of all electric, like the Volt. In fact, when Google it the top hits are for the all electric version. I see that they have been in production since 1998, by Daewoo, sold in South Korea, England, Europe, India, etc.

I like the suicide style rear doors, that should make it easier for the rear passengers to get in and out. I wonder why the hatch on the rear though, there can't be much space behind the back seat. I suppose the rear seats fold down, do they? If so then I suppose the hatch would have some functionality.

Here is a list of "also known as" names:

Daewoo Matiz, Matiz II
Baojun Lechi (China)
Chevrolet Exclusive
Chevrolet Joy
Chevrolet Lechi (China)
Chevrolet Matiz
Chevrolet Spark
UzDaewoo Matiz
Formosa Matiz (Taiwan)
FSO Matiz
Pontiac G2
Pontiac Matiz
Chevrolet Taxi 7:24
Chronos

Neat little car!

Electrifying name!

There is an electric version, but it's only available in Yuppieville. (CA and OR)

It's been around under other names worldwide for several years, but 2013 was the first for the U.S.

Way longer than that. It has a 9 gallon tank. Right now I'm just below a half of a tank. I filled it either 3 or 4 weeks ago tomorrow.
