[EDIT: I find it remarkable, considering how conservative I consider myself today (my children agree with that), how much of my more liberal opinion about things (many here might not agree with that) is encapsulated in the themes in Hair. I guess in most things I want to be tolerant.

Hair was truly influential and changed the direction of western society. What is coming to do the same, for something surely is, soon?

Holding firm in my resolve against the hociR, though today I did wander into the B&M Camera World of Oregon to actually see a K-3. Nice camera, though they did not have the grip or the Sigma or the 50/1.8. They did have a ton of K50s though.

But it's so much work. She has to keep twisting that lens - focusing, I guess. Why does she have to watch the little metal lever on the front before the camera clicks? Where's her IR remote? And the top lever thingee - what's that all about? I don't think those things will ever catch on until some major photocopy corporation takes them on and modernizes the system.

The book also covers many of the things that go wrong. One of those things is when the critters that live in our bowels get messed up, and the delicate balance goes awry.

Heard about that transplant biz recently, too. There's another way, only slightly less gross (IMO) -- active culture yogurt, which I spent about a month consuming to get my plumbing back on track after several courses of antibiotics recently.

I wondered if it might be a secret anti-hociR weapon, to save Tokyo...

- Hypnotic effect plus the "zzzz" sound for that lever thing ... deer in headlights ...

At this stage of life there are only three that matter and they pose for me all the time. But they're shy about PF - only for their own blogs.

I do get a whole lot of comments from the High School photographers when I go to the Lacrosse games my son now coaches. They're using, of all things, elderly K1000's, and both genders want to push every button and click away. The girls are especially aggressive about asking if they can try the K3.

I think the best exchange was with a Tak mounted - - Yes, that's an old lens - - yes, older than Coach C. - - almost older than Coach C.'s Dad!

And it would work on your camera, too!
