Golf is an outdoor equivalent to competiton darts, other than the more comlplex and arcane Golf rule book.
In golf one plays against the course. The final outcome has nothing to do with how well one played and everyting to do with how well the other(s) played. That's a double-negative way to keep score, I'd say. I won because I lost by less than the other guys lost.
Also, on a QWERTY keyboard, an 'F' is next to a 'D' so Golf is easily mischaracterized as Gold. I have never made money playing Golf. However, one year in the early 80's I made more money throwing darts than I earned as W-2 Income.
In darts, an 'F' is next to a 'D'. Don't go there.
