I spent the day in your neighborhood today Joel!

Racer gets waylaid in Des Moines while Monstro pays a visit to the Truck Doctor.

Great song ... wish that Lyle would tour Europe. And guess what I got for Father's Day ... my wife can never keep a secret. A ticket to see Robert Plant at the Cognac Blues Festival ! It's about a 2 hour drive south from me ... Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters [uk] | Cognac Blues Passions

BTW, I think that Lyle would have made a wonderful Borg character on Star Trek ... even better yet, a Q !

Ah, no... "fat chance" doesn't translate to "big chance", odd as that seems.

Leo Kottke for sure has always has some kind of inexplicable majic going on.
Re Leo, true as long as he doesn't sing. Keep your fingers on the guitar, Leo, and your mouth shut...

Wow!! Way nice of her and no doubt a great present.

Bob Dylan played our local Grand Dame restored Fox movie theater on my wife's 50th birthday. Waylon opened. Can you guess what I did? [Dylan - √]

P.S. Couldn't resist buying and framing a dated tour poster.

Yes, Bramella passed yesterday or the day before.
There should be an announcement forthcoming on the Home Page.

I am so sorry to read this. Bruce was a consistent positive voice and a steady presence on this site.

OzzRod posted this yesterday ...

Bruce Stephenson (Bramela) Final Update

Bruce passed away late last night, peacefully in hospital, with his wife Pam beside him. There was nothing more that the medicos could do, other than ease his final hours. When you think back to the blunt prognosis last year, he put up a great fight. Rest easy, mate.

They say you measure someone by the number of friends they have. Bruce must have been the absolute best sort of person given the response to his illness and passing.

I thought as much. In Australia 'fat chance' and 'slim chance' are the synonymous.

So does this mean that to be slim is the same as to be fat. Why all the fuss about obesity and fitness then?
