The Mod wants to get to 10,000 posts!
(Even the K5 has an estimated shutter life of 100,000.
And isn't the hociR's 200,000?
Come on Parallax, lift your optimism! (or is that masochism?)

huh? Isn't that what was said about 8,000 posts ago? Yet here it is! NOT discussing politics because that would be wrong!! Prius driving, hociR loving, tree hugging hippie nut jobs will not bring us down!! Now I'm not talking about the average Joe that recycles his milk jugs no. It's the ones that will hide under the bed when you tell them that Woodstock was a for profit concert that actually was a financial and environmental failure!!! That's what happens when you only have one portapotty per 100,000!! Duh!!

I rest my case. This used to be a funny thread with lots of bacon and cheese and random pokes at the OP, and now it's being pulled toward the "my worldview is the best, don't you agree?" stuff we can't discuss elsewhere (for good reason). Keep the Prius driving, tree-hugging, hippie nut-job comments to yourself, and I'll keep the mahood-compensating, gun-toting, NIMBY McMansion neanderthal comments to myself.

Buzzkill.

As you find this thread such a buzzkill, perhaps your best course would be to just stay out of it. If you don't like the storyline, don't read the book. Seems like a simple concept to me.

I must be getting "old" or at least "urban nonlinguistic" for the Americas ... had to look up "buzzkill" to be 100% sure. Gene Wilder was great and the first "Charlie" was better than the second one with Johnny Depp/Tim Burton ... found this, too.

Which Charlie "character" best fits the attitude of the OP ... Veruca Salt (?) ... to get us back on track, plus to help me stay away from the "win-a-hociR" contest that Adam's putting on ...

Do you drive a Prius?

If so, you must know that not all Prius drivers are tree hugging nut jobs. Most of them are just ordinary people trying to get the most out of their gasoline dollar.

So that they an afford a K3.

And some bacon, with cheddar cheese on the side.

Merci P ... maybe Augustus Gloop will get my vote ?! Plus found this one, too ... I'm on a Gene Wilder streak !!!

Edit : on second thought, not buying this one ... Augustus would be very interested in bacon, cheese, etc. ... and maybe even some "SPAM Classic" (read my K-5 )

Ok...so I woke up last night in a cold sweat. I dreamed that the K-3 came to me and out of the darkness reminded me of the millions of innocent souls in Tokyo and of Godzilla and of the hociR and of The Silence Of The OP.

Yes!! The CAMERA SPOKE!!

What have I done!!!

Perhaps a little Grey Poupon would be good on my turkey burrito...

I don't drive a Prius, but I thought that thing was weighed down by some battery pack? Should give it some weight in a crash, shouldn't it? Or maybe not... It's just a hybrid, after all, not a two tonne battery pack like the Tesla Model S.

The Tesla has been the most sold car in Norway the last few months, btw. Seems everybody wants one. It outsells the K-3 by quite a lot. which tells me the K-3 needs a much bigger battery. A full frame battery, I'd say.

Which it hasn't.

And that's why I won't buy a K-3.
