I'm not fast either. In fact, I've been called a halffast photographer more than once. (I think that was the term, anyway.)

It's funny how people can tell if you're halfast or whole-ast without even looking.

By someone speaking at the moment with a mouthful of lutefisk ... or maybe someone with an outrageous "Monty Python-esque" French accent ?!

Steve
Yes, it's a shame ... at least there's still this as consolation ...

Meh. Reviewers write about speed and sharpness and people argue about speed and sharpness because you can measure speed and sharpness.

How do you measure rendering? How do you quantify pixie dust?
No, no, no! Speed and sharpness! And size. Bigger is better, unless it's bigger than 35mm 'cause then it's too big.

And I honestly don't know how Aperture One renders. But it's sharp. And fast.

Must be a gender thing. I don't know many women who'd like to be called fast.

Nor big, come to think of it.

But sharp is still good.

Mono,
We have a rendering plant on the other side of the county that is very capable of measuring rendering. As a matter of fact, 40 foot trailer loads of renderings roll onto the scales daily with the choicest parts of local remains to supply American industrial needs though the odors don't resemble my understanding of pixie dust. I know for a fact that almost bacon and formerly cow goes into these renderings, therefore splendidly qualifying for this thread. Rio hociR!

Count me as among the less sharp people of the planet. I just realized what hociR is.

Wow , it looks like hociR clued in that Pentax users don't like hociR anywhere on their cameras. Apparently the word is not to be found on the 645z. Did they really thinking all these people using Pentax legacy glass were going to happily start using hociR equipment? If that were true they should have just started making hociR cameras in K-mount. They didn't need to buy the company.

That stuff helps me sleep... I don't care if I'm not sharp when I'm asleep.

Z?

I have owned several for many years.

Here are two.

Of course for what I have spent on the red one over the years I could have bought 4 or 5 645Z's.

But I still will not buy a K-3.

My sister's Z kept her in the poor house for years, I'd show her the picture, but that top one would probably make her cry. I don't think she ever ran that car for more than 6 months without blowing up something in the engine. She was practically drinking buddies with her mechanic, she had to go to his shot to visit her car half the time she owned it. The amazing thing was when she finally sold it, engine torrn apart and not fixed, body needing work, falling apart, she still got $5K for it. Something that will always remain a mystery of the universe, at least from my perspective.

That is hilarious.

{Oops! Guess I should get fully caught up on the Anti-hociR thread before posting half cocked! )
