They're trained to itch when you take a photo.

Ah heck, he's so darned cute it almost makes me feel guilty about thoroughly enjoying the crusted pork roast I made earlier today. This is why I try my best not to look at cute pics of baby food animals. "Pork" is just supposed to be this vaguely pink stuff you buy in the market in plastic. I don't like to meditate too much on the fact that it actually comes from cute little piglets, sigh. But I can't feel too guilty about it. I make an absolutely awful vegetarian. Cannot go there, just cannot...

Would a Pentax owner lie? In the most holy place of all, at that?? And what should I do - let some unsuspecting newbie buy the thing? That would be pure evil!

One thing is the K-3s that are sold new in shops - they are not really a problem since they are such a rare sight anyway. But this one was loose in the wild! Once I discovered that there was no way I, as a responsible member of our society, could stand back and watch some unsuspecting soul crush Tokyo underfoot, as it were, even though I put myself in dire straights by taking bold action!

Turns out to be a damn fine camera, too... Which, of course, means I won't (need to) buy another one.

I have Aunt that used to raise her own livestock. Gave them names and everything. When the end came for them, she had the pieces named so the freezer could be kept sorted. The only trouble came when she named a cow after Grandma! Talk about a grumpy grandma!
As for buying meat in plastic and styrofoam; eewwww! Our store cuts and wraps to order, just like a butcher's shop!

Sorry I got on late tonight. I had to do some butchering. My wife wanted two pieces of rib-eye steak, so I ordered them from a butcher we had not bought from before, at a much cheaper price that she usually gets it. What I got cost 15% as much as a new K3 and was two strips each with eight ribs! About 9kg. Took a bit of cutting and putting into bags to store. Next time I will order one pack. The meat looks grass fed - the proper type of meat. Good for vegetarians because it is organically processed grass.

is there an official Guinness record of beating a dead horse?
I wonder, if we should submit the "mirror flop" thread as an entry.. may well have a winner on our hands!

I suspect this thread will still thrive long after the 'Why I won't buy a LX-D' thread is dead and buried.
