Well, my predictions after reading the latest posts and seeing the price change of the K5-IIs going up $300.

1) The K3 is going to fade away. Great camera but sort of stuck in between full frame and APS-c. I do think that the age of the full frame camera is coming to an end. The next generation of sensors will simply blow the need for them out of the water. Right now, the only real reason to own full frame is to anchor the bigger glass that pros and awesome photographers like those of us on this forum use.

2) The K5 line will regenerate itself with the 20 megapixel sensor and become the K5-III? The K5-II cameras are very very good and the 20 megapixel sensor of the KS-1 would be a perfect fit for them.

3) A KF-1? Full frame DSLR will appear. On the back of it will appear he word hociR. This will make a permanent impression onto the cheek of the user that will say Ricoh. Everyone on this thread will become confused and disoriented. Some will even become totally discombobulated and the thread will fade away only to be discovered by a future generation of electo-archaeologists. As the only surviving electronic file form these times, they will then use it to paint a picture of life on earth in the early 21st Century. We will all be noted in history books as the great thinkers of our age.

4) My fourth prediction concerns me. For some strange reason, the KS-1 camera will continue to intrigue me. If I had the extra scoots, I would buy one in an instant.

Some of these predictions have some thought behind them and others are whimsical. I am not sure which is which.
Genius.

Pure genius.

I say you win the contest.

Adam, give this guy the lens already.

What's with predictions on this thread? Should we start a 'Why I won't buy a K-(5)-III (Warning - Satire Thread!)' thread already?

Let's make it "Why I won't buy a K5 IV ....".
All those technorats and pixel peepers in PF will go off the deep trying to figure out what they missed. The first post should refer to the leap from the K3's 24 megapixels and the intermediary 30 megapixel to the new and improved 36 megapixel. We should be able to entice at least 79 authorities who don't even own an original K5 to leap in with editorial length dissertations on why/why not it will be a success and why it will contribute to the rise/demise of the hociR.

Meanwhile:
G'night Shirley. May flights of hociRs sing thee to thy rest.

Don't forget the video guys. They are programmed to talk only about how Pentax video is not as good as <name a brand, any brand> and how the hociR will surely fail as a result and how the priesthood of Pro will only honor that which moves. Tokyo will surely be consumed.

Don't worry about all those other people. There's at least a few of us that still like you. Surely.
