Yeah Mark, where have you been?
I was not surprised when you disappeared after the first One Day International (for the septics - cricket)
I thought you would be back after the second one; but no appearance.
Now last night's game was a good one (for Oz)

Jean, it is 50 years since I did high school French and I wasn't very good at it then!!
Are you confirming some of my comment? Was it de Gaulle? Was it really 300 kinds of cheese?

I wonder how Mark Jerling would pronounce six or sex!
The mix of NZ and SA accent could give us something>
I'm afraid my sixes are still very much sixed, certainly not sexed or soxed. (Must be the formative years in East London)
My wife likes to tell the tale of when we first arrived here in NZ, and she'd phone me at work - Asking the receptionist if she could speak to "Mark". Now, "Mark" with a South African accent sounds a bit like the "mark" in "market. But with a slightly longer aa sound.

The reply would always be: "Mike???" She eventually learnt that "Mark" here is pronounced closer to "Mack".

Work commitments have kept me rather occupied this week. (That's a good thing, of course, I've just been flat out busy. - A up and nose down as we say here.) Have not even had a chance to take a single picture this week. No - that's a lie. Did actually take one with new mobile phone. (Sad, sad, I know!)

Hi Jean. Very funny, I see. Still, cheese is much more interesting than what I have been up to.

Rod, that shows how busy I've been - Have not even had a chance to follow the great game that is cricket.

Well, I've been saving the bacon and burning the lutefisk at both ends!

Apparently you've completely misunderstood the concept of smoked fish.

Brakes?

Who needs brakes?

They only slow you down!

Only 300? I am sure the English can match that village-to-village and add on a few more on top.

If you must smoke, smoke salmon.
