Ouch. Not a good spot on the head to be hit. Lets hope he makes full recovery.

The current news (made public) is that he is still in the induced coma. And the whole round of matches ahs been called off with points awarded as if all were drawn. I hope he makes a good recovery and can live normally.

Yeah! How come he got pics. I didn't get any of mine. But I do have reminders. Every few months since April of last year, an infection boils up and I'm on Keflex again for 10 days. I think the l'il critters in there are mutating like crazy but I can't convince the system.

Maybe I should take some pictures. With a K3 - that should terrorism them into action.
Most hospitals these days will provide a copy of imaging results on request. Some even offer them as a matter of course, so the patient can carry them to each physician or specialist conveniently. With the imaging systems being digital, it is as simple as burning the files to a disc. The discs I have are bundled with a viewer, and when the disc is dropped into the drive it automatically runs and you can then view the images. They can be zoomed in, the contrast adjusted to see details better, or even swap from the negative look to a positive.

The game must go on. It's an unfortunate accident, but a rare accident none the less.

Here the patient gets them always, so it is the patient's responsibility to look after them and take them wherever. If the patient loses them the patient needs to get them again (and pay the out of pockets again).

Justine got her hand closed in a car door jam last month, so Flo took her to the emergency room to see if there were any broken fingers. Fortunately none were found.

About a week(+) later the hospital sent the radiologist report with images and a CD.

PS - Count forget those K3 coloring submissions ... We are almost at the end of the month!

Luckily, these days, they don't need to send you off with a big envelope!

Hi Mark.
Here in country Victoria we still get the big brown envelope.
I wouldn't say that Mrs Rod and I are a particularly sickly couple, but we have accumulated a few of the envelopes over the years.

(I am not talking cricket after the death of Phil Hughes - so sad.
Well just this once: we whipped the Saffers in the one day series, 4-1)

Forum rules do not permit me placing said word. I'll get told off again. 😃

I only heard of Hughes' passing last night. Very sad since cricket is a game I enjoyed playing and watching when young. Absolutely extraordinary injury, only reported in the literature 100 times, from all causes, and once in cricket.

For those not getting the news, the injury was a ball impact to the back of the neck where it broke the artery which bled profusely into the brain space.

Sad indeed when anyone perishes before their time. Sincere condolences to his family, friends and fans.

One of the things I will miss about Europe, at least the countries I visited, is that there are loads of pretty women here. I can see why too. Restaurants and grocery stores aren't open very long, and food is more expensive. Gas too, so there are loads of bicycles in use.
