Oh... wait.....
I don't think I'd fit in a Miata.

No, I don't think so. Those fall in the "who cares?" category.

That's what I thought until I sat in mine for the first time. I'm 6ft and it fits me like a glove. Don't expect a lot of wiggle room, but the seats are comfortable.

Too late. We already decided that Glenfiddich wins.

I'm 6'2" so I think a Saturn Sky might be the best choice in a small convertible for me. I did like the Honda S2000 too though.

Well, I really think that for any sort of real competition (of real beverages), we would have to expand the field. Any new beverage contenders?

The NC (2006-2014) Miata has more room than the NB (1999-2005). The convertible part is a bonus. Buy it for the awesome handling.

Good luck. Do you have a safe place to ride it out, or will you be moving to better ground?

I've eaten a lot of things, and menudo was just gross. I don't know if it's the way it was cooked, or because of what it consists of, but it smelled like a bowl full of sewer water.
A finely cooked menudo should not be that gross. It's a Spanish cuisine made out of pork meat, liver and a lot of tomato sauce and chili. Then, we sprinkle cheese over the dish.

Re storm: We're ok. I'm fortunate enough to have a few abodes, and one happens to sit on the 27th floor of a tower.

Yes, it is. A healthy sprinkling of some more Green Tabasco and a glass of beer, and life's good!

This beer is probably the best I've tasted bar none. Unfortunately, it's so hard to find even in Manila:

CERVEZA NEGRA
I've heard of San Miguel... I think. The name sounds familiar, but can't say I have ever had it.

Not a Miata, but I have a CX9 and a Mazda 3.

Mrs drypenn once told me that I can buy a Miata, but she has to take the passenger seat away, ensuring that my silly idea of driving with the top down around pretty girls will never happen.

Most of the premium San Miguel products, though they are brewed here in Manila, are exported to Japan and Hong Kong . The description alone makes my mouth water:

"...a full-bodied dark lager with rich caramel tones made from roasted pilsen malt from Europe and other top quality ingredients. The right balance of bitterness and sweetness, and a creamy, frothy head entice drinkers to soak in its unique flavors. This bold, dark brew brims with the sweet taste of roasted malt..."

Two years ago, I've had two British friends who visited the Philippines (and we all know how much our British friends can drink ). They took 100 bottles of Cerveza Negra on the way back. I didn't bother asking how much that extra "luggage" costed them...
