No, that was when it got diverted to a siding. It got back on the main line for a while after that; but with this post it became a runaway.

On page 24, starting with this post, it was clear that the bridge was out and derailment was imminent.

I think the pivotal moment, the point where the mass went critical, the Coup de grâce to those who were trying make posts related to the original topic was the exchange that started HERE.
