Mark, good to see you in to bat for a good innings since your time off for repairs. That sounded rather unpleasant. Hope you are doing well.

SA? No, you're about 10,000 km off

But now that you mention it, it might well be that SA is the country I have visited the most - both in terms of number of visits and in time spent there. And since I come from a country where most people wouldn't have heard of cricket I might as well represent the saffers in this

Not to seem impertinent but is a discussion of Quantum Field Theory (QTF) and theoretical, sub-atomic physics still relevant to the main topic?
You don't think so? Which sub-fields of theoretical physics do you regard as the most most relevant, then?

Well, we do have a cricket team. Our national cricket ground consists of a shipping container on a grassy field. I believe we have a foothold in top 50

Hmmmmm. Either cosmology or, more likely, astrology.

The first reference to Cricket in Canada goes back to 1785. In 1844, Canada and the United States played at cricket, the first international sporting event of modern times apparently. With another century or two of practice, there is every likelihood that we'll get ranked. (We do have two batters in the bottom half of the top 100 though )

The US actually has a cricket team. Who'd a thunk it?

I'm vegetarian, so my feelings on bacon thickness are pretty neutral.
