Would you rather eat lutefisk or a moth?

Honestly? Lutefisk. It doesn't really taste like anything. Moths taste like fluttery horrible torture.

I'm guessing you've had more than just one moth that wanted to be eaten by you?

Nope, only one. But it was enough.

I caught a June bug in my mouth while riding a motorcycle once. Went straight to the back of my throat. Weirdest feeling ever.

I'll have you people know that many cultures consume and cherish all kinds of insects, including tons of crickets in Eastern Africa. I planned to pick up and fry some of the giant ants that directed their massive highways (complete with a main trail in the middle and two side lanes on either side going in opposite directions) through our backyard all the time when I lived in Ghana, but somehow forgot I imagine them to be quite crisp and tasty.

I'm not opposed to the general idea of eating bugs. It's just that when it's a surprise and they're still living, it's not nice.

You've got a set of tools numbering around 30 in your mouth that are perfectly suited for quickly changing that situation

I will attest to that.

Actually, Adam was supportive of the thread. I had to argue its merits to some, but more in the light of explaining and not defending. It was that "Boohoo, you're having too much fun" group in the Suggestions thread that started it all. It was Adam that added the "Warning, Satire Thread" suffix to the title to keep it open.

Yep. Adam the Awesome is a better fit (no sarcasm!).

Even our own almighty Mod says so, and he's never wrong!

Besides, everyone knows that you can't have a proper message board without at least one thread that derails and just won't go away!

I believe the term derailed is a bit weak for this thread

Moths don't fly into my mouth. I leave the lights off.
