Ever open a fresh jar of kimchi?

It is my limited understanding that the tins often open themselves by, charitably, dynamic expansion. Risk to life, limb, olfactory nerves and digestive system are some of the reasons for the European Union to attempt to ban distribution much as they banned land mines.
Let's face it, there's really very little difference between surstrømming and a land mine in the end...

Durian has nothing on the powerful stench of surstrømming.

True. Surströmming has none of the redeeming qualities of durian. None at all, really.

Durian' redeeming qualities must be a product of your imagination - there are none

Oh, I beg to differ ...

The next time that you're in Paris on a really hot August day, take a stroll in the Chinese quarter of the 13th borough (avenue de Choisy).

Stands full of over-ripe durain ... (stolen image)

Wow, you used the words fresh and kimchi in the same sentence. Something I thought I'd never see in my lifetime...

An acquired taste, but I sure ate a lot of kimchi when I was stationed over in the ROK. Yummmmmmm!

Shush. Last time we teased Mag, she clammed up than the cap on a bottle of ketchup. Now may never find out what the Magi brought her.

The land mine has a better after taste.

I only came over here because Otis was in the Site Suggestions Forum and read where people on this thread were taking naked selfies, and he wanted to see if any had any "artistic value".
Wait, what? I missed the bit with the naked selfies, must have been asleep
