Yeah, you probably can get a few decent shots with a decent cell phone if you're well trained in the basics of photography but to me this "lesson" is a total fail because she obviously didn't trust that she would otherwise she'd have left the Nikon at home...
To be fair, this was a D3S shoot with a few select shots with a phone cam just to prove that gear isn't the main point in photography. And I think the point was made, even if the perspective is pretty boring in most of the phone shots.
(Oh, and not that it's relevant here, but she's a he.)
