It's because there's such a wealth of it to talk about, and with all the scandinavians in this thread, it's hard to avoid. Also, we haven't only talked about the gross stuff, I seem to remember having had a rather pleasant discussion of brunost a few pages back.

I repent that comment! Nordic cuisine may be an oxymoron but only the medieval recipes are disgusting. Scotland apparently shares the Nordic culinary tradition. But Scotch whisky is a truly Renaissance beverage.
