But the English have some interesting words not normally used in Australia.

"'oovering" means walking around the tables at a large dinner collecting partly drunk bottles of wine to take back to one's own friends at one's own table.

Guess where I learned that: Philadelphia, PA, in a dinner in the old big train station. Outside has lots of beggars - even a guard of honour of them at the entrance to Maccas. And Chinatown there looks scary to come out of those restaurants after it is dark.

Can I just say that the K-S1 makes me kinda grumpy? It's not like it's a terrible camera, just that it's marketed towards people who shouldn't be buying DSLRs. \endrant

The hociR's plan for world domination is that EVERYONE must buy DSLRs. At least 2 each.

It seems like a decent camera, I just can't get past the fact that it looks like a bridge camera.

If that means higher revenues and profits and thus more money for the development of proper equipment and features (like a decent AF.C, godammit) for people who 'should buy DSLRs', then so what?

True, but last I heard the K-S1 wasn't selling well, so no help there. Hopefully the rumored K-50 replacement will be more popular.

Based on the 2014 CIPA numbers, nothing is selling very well.

Let's hope that hociR really does have a plan, or at least a Plan B.
