I would if I had time, but I have to go check on the igunaq quiche I have in the oven, and make the pickled herring and bleu cheese mousse to top it with.

I hear that spending too much time outside in the frozen arctic wastelands of South Dakota damages the part of the brain that receives signals from your tastebuds. Can you comment on this?
That's just gross!

Who'd want to taste Buds?!

Mr Parallax sir, could I have a sammich and a quiche, please? And a drink of kumis to wash it down.

Yeah, I know; but I had to use Nutella. I ran out of Vegemite.

My daughter found out that yesterday was 'world Nutella Day'. Each of us, independently ate some Nutella, from a 1kg jar that we bought in a double pack from the local shop that has the 5kg jars.

I typed it as a joke, but after I posted it, the more I thought about it (the mousse, not the igunaq), the better it sounded. I really do love bleu cheese and pickled herring, though I've never (yet) tried them combined.

Damn. Now I'm really hungry.

I can't wait for the inevitable "why I won't buy a FF thread"!

You don't have to.

Any bets on what direction that one's going to go?
Um, a "Why I Won't Buy A FF" thread can only be valid if started by pentaxdude. Of course pentaxdude will have to not only start said thread, but will also only be allowed to make the beginning post, and then once again fade into obscurity, and lurk as he has been doing since October 10, 2013.

Any others are simply plagiarist and subsequently without merit or meaning.

By the way, I see that pentaxdude is still lurking here. His profile shows he last visited this Excellent Pentax Forum on January 30, 2015. I bet he was doing his best to keep up on the required reading of this informative and extensive thread filled with a wealth of photography related information.

I mean, really, there is no other reason for the pentaxdude to be here, right?

Bleu cheese?

Why not use that other cheese, the stuff with maggots in it?

Mmmmmmm . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . tasty!

Meanwhile, coming home from my university photography society's nighttime photography event with an empty stomach, I just resorted to roughly chopping up some potatoes, parsnip, carrot and butternut squash, sprinkling it with olive oil, feta, salt and some rosemary leaves and throwing it in the oven. Healthy, cheap, easy and fast to make - perfect student food

Sounds wonderful, except for the parsnips. Those are hog food in North America.
