I don't mind hunting, really I don't. I grew up with hunters. But PLEASE, next time at least, a warning? So I can avoid pics like that? That was just stomach turning, really...

I never heard of the problem of snakes entering through the roof. I have heard enough stories of people finding snakes in their house. We have had a couple outside but I have not seen them inside. I know there are snakes in the valley below my back fence, but I have only seen one in the past 15 years. I was a skeleton in a skin trapped in some bird netting.
Mom has found several grass snakes in her shower and living room, one of my elderly clients had a water moccasin in her kitchen cabinet that came in through the eaves, yeah, it's not unusual at all.

No thanks. It would spark a civil war. You see, a few years ago some nutters tried to get the Olympics to Zoe's home town. That never took flight. Then some other nutters tried to get it to my home town - which caused everybody up north to mobilize, pitchforks and torches in hand. Luckily the government refused to fund the silliness so we seem to be safe for now.

Sorry ... baseball. It's cultural.

You have to grow up with it ... plus playing it helps, too.

Do you have any snakes that can climb tree's where you live? Here, we have Rat Snakes. Non-venomous, but they will follow a rodents scent up a tree, down onto your roof, and into your roof or attic. They'll then eat the rodent and either leave or lay eggs then leave.

I prefer them like this:

Nice! We have no snakes at all in New Zealand. In South Africa, where I'm from, snakes were quite common, including some very venomous ones, and some of those are excellent tree climbers.

Did you see the South Africa - India game at the MCG? That's an impressive Cricket Ground. RSA played poorly.

As if baseball was not already the slowest pro sport in the world next to cricket, they actually bring the whole rip-snorting event to a groaning halt in the seventh of nine innings. This opportunity is used for washroom breaks, refilling the beer cups, waking up those who dozed off and removing those that went to their eternal rest in the second or third inning and nobody noticed.
