Not by speeches and votes of the majority, are the great questions of the time decided but by iron and blood and moderators. (With apologies to Otto Von Bismark - Oops! A politician.)

In 1859, 24 rabbits were released in Australia. Within 6 years, the population grew to 2 million.
Another example of what happens when people mess with an ecosystem.

Yeah, some Brit brought them over because he wanted to enjoy some hunting - I don't think he realised his 24 little pets would go on to transform a whole continent
Kind of like the Brit who introduced Starlings to the North American Continent. He thought they were "pretty" birds. Now they fly round in flocks numbering in the hundreds of millions, their droppings fouling everything.

Whoever invents a way to eradicate them will make a tidy fortune, to be sure.

Rabbits are also food, good to eat, and cute....
Yes, very good to eat.

And their fur makes the great lining on a particular type of hat that I own. Mine is similar to this one, only all leather outside, and that o~so~soft rabbit fur on the inside!

And their feet can be used as a talisman for good luck!

OK, enough spamming the forum by Racer. Time to get back to watching the race from Atlanta and building a deer deterrent system to keep the deer out of our freshly planted orchard.

Besides, I need to stay distracted so the livE hociR will not suck me in!
