That is cool! It requires cleverness and wit to poke fun at Americans. Making German jokes, OTOH, is incredibly easy. How many seasons did Hogan's Heros run

And Werner Klemperer (born in Cologne, and who played Colonel Klink) insisted that he repeatedly portrayed a bumbler. Still got hate mail for his efforts.

Just found a (German language) list detailing effective time played of several kinds of sports. The list goes (from most time wasted to most time played):

12. Table tennis
11. Beach volleyball
10. American Football
9. Baseball
8. Ski jumping
7. Volleyball
6. Tennis
5. Basketball
4. Handball
3. Hockey
2. Football (soccer) - 57 min. played out of 90 min. official time
1. Ice hockey - 60 min. played out of 60 min. official time

Tim, try and stay focussed. This is a German list - never heard of cricket!!
The Indians, on the other hand have: and after last night probably wish they hadn't.

I would rather watch L&O/CSI reruns and nothing but than watch sports and for the record Criminal Intent excepted I'm really not a fan of said shows at all and usually avoid them like the plague. Heck, I'd even rather watch Chris Noth's CI episodes than watch sports and that's really saying something because I just can't stand the man or his L&O character and I deliberately skipped every darned one of them except for the couple of crossover episodes where he and his partner du jour worked with Goren and Eames. Ditto Chris Meloni and Eliot Stabler. Can't stand him either, never could.

I may go ... even my wife knows this is a bit of a big deal and might come along.

Sounds more like American football to me.
It does. But the msin thing this tells me is that Americans, too, have access to edit wiki articles at will

Have a great day clackers. May you see another century from SPD Smith and a good win over NZ.
(How about seeing McCullum bowled on the last ball, one run short?)

(Laughs).

I'd almost be as heart broken, Rod ... we joke about New Zillunders, but they're our cousins.

Clarke's a good captain, but I think McCullum's better. :-)

About 84 on the list I'd say.

But one might say, gives you plenty of time to run off and get rid of some of the rented beer, and not miss too much of the action, eh?

Every now and again I see British darts being broadcast from some pub or hall somewhere, smoking and drinking going on - by the 'athletes'.

Shades of Dodgeball's ESPN8: "If it's almost a sport, you'll find it here".
Uff!

I throw darts, even have a nice boar bristle board in my game room. But that dude has about 300 pounds on me. I know how to dress better than he does. And I spend more on razors than he does.

I'm sure of it.

Four minutes?

How much beer can you drink in four minutes?

An NFL game can run, what, 3 hours or so, right?

How much beer can you drink in 3 hours?
