A bit far for me. And my wife decided to be uninterested in cricket.

Have a great day clackers. May you see another century from SPD Smith and a good win over NZ.
(How about seeing McCullum bowled on the last ball, one run short?)

A couple of brothers invented what to do on the last ball when the batting side is one run short and the batting team is from east of the ditch.

Picture reminds me of some short story we had to read at high school - something about living in "little bitty boxes".

(Laughs). I think it was invented by one brother in a moment of madness who ordered the younger lad to do it

Honestly, how old does someone have to be before they can stand up to their sibling? :-D

Clackers! he wasn't just an older brother - he was the captain.
If you disobey the captain you never play for your country again...oh right!

Trevor's lack of talent may also have played a part, Rod! :-)

Four minutes?

How much beer can you drink in four minutes?

An NFL game can run, what, 3 hours or so, right?

They don't drink beer at the NFL games. They drink Bud Light / Budweiser.

I think they use that same setup for cattle.

In 1989 I went to my one and only NFL game. I learned a few things.

1) A lot of vendors selling t-shirts with the words F*** Indianapolis. They were the opposing team. As a father of four I decided right there that I would not take my kids to see a game live. They don't need to think that this is appropriate language.
2) The game itself was fun when there was any action. American football is 12 minutes of activity spread out over 3+ hours. I cannot tell you how much fun it was to watch the referee standing on the sidelines with a guy who was giving him the blow by blow of the commercial breaks so he could tell him when to allow the game to resume. This was the dominant activity during the game.
3) The drunken brawls in the parking lot after the game were pretty entertaining, but still not any activity that I would want my kids (all boys) to see and think was acceptable.
4) The guy I went with won the tickets in a radio contest and they were end zone seats. It was actually pretty fascinating becasue it showed me a whole new aspect of the game you don't see on TV. The side to side movements during a play are actually very complex and carried out with amazing speed. The players themselves were excellent athletes.

All in all, it was a cold November day with the wind blowing in my face, watching what is a very entertaining activity when the game is actually being played. However the most of the time was filled doing nothing. I did hear a very funny joke during half time. I was in one of the men's rooms and a guy there blurted out "You don't drink the beer here. You just rent it for awhile"

Net result was our team won and I heard a pretty good joke. American football is actually facing a bit of a crisis because people are finding that the game is much more fun to watch on TV than tovgo see in person.

Getting back to cheese and bacon.
A grilled pear, bacon and cheese flatbread pizza with salsa verde for the 'sauce' and sprinkle of red pepper flakes.

Strange combo, but it sounds great and sweet photography as well.

No photos from me but strange combos often turn out to be really really tasty... Best one that comes to mind is a fresh-grilled burger, topped with a big smear of peanut butter and chopped fresh jalapeno peppers (and your usual condiments). Just melts in your mouth and smooths out the kick of the peppers a bit and sends your taste buds into a Very Happy Place!

(can't take credit for the idea, I saw it on an episode of "Man vs Food")
