Careful there, as someone involved in the field I can assure you that my fellow students and I are perfectly normal, sane people. At least that's what the voices keep telling me. And you don't question the voices - you just don't.
Unless of course they sound like this, then you know you're in real trouble...

You have way too many toys.
Nah.

I'm just getting started.

There is also the safe full of metal things that throw lead.

More computers than I can count. Some for work (CAD workstations), some for fun (racing sims), and some for the toys that record images on film or memory cards.

And since I have mentioned it, there are lots of cameras, although surely less than Jean in France.

And not a single K3.

Not even one.

Well. I'm back. There's no bacon there ... and everything was under-cooked to the point of almost being RAW.

Oops, sorry. Photo speak
Well, as long as Justine was happy all is good, right?

Right?

Besides, I always shoot raw. On dual cards, even.

Oops...

Clearly, you've never met a computer science student. I'm pretty sure I've seen one doing exactly this after a few hours of fighting bugs in his OS.

Hmm, I just sold one of my lead throwers, an old .45 ACP that arrived in an air drop some 73 years ago. I bought it off the original owner and sold it back to his grandson now that he's old enough to legally own it. Good to know it's now in the hands of someone who cares about its history.

Might get myself a 9mm replacement.

Or maybe a 50mm 1.2

9mm or a 50mm 1.2. Both useful, but not interchangeable.

My neighbour had an old 12 gauge that had been hand embossed and gold plated by his grandfather. Just a beautiful weapon. He asked if we wanted to buy it. I said "It belongs in your family." He sold it to a stranger for peanuts. I still can't believe it. His grandfather is still considered to be the best guide who ever worked in Algonquin Park and was a guide when guide also were deputized as park rangers. The gun was a piece of history as well as a family heirloom. I'm still shaking my head. The least he could have done would have been donate it to the park. I'm sure they would have displayed it somewhere.

I should have done what you did. Buy it and save it for someone who understood what it was.
I don't particularly like guns, but I believe in people treasuring their history.

Ah, but that would render 16500+ highly informative posts completely off-topic and utterly meaningless. We don't want that, now, do we?
