Well, I have used the popup flash of my K-... mah camrah. In a pinch it's better than nothing.

Which is why I won't buy a K-3ii? Ah, who needs another thread...

But no, I'm in no way surprised by the doom and gloom spouted by the Furious Few.

Losing stereo hearing sucks, you don't know where sounds/voices are coming from.
Exactly, I don't know which direction sound is coming from, I actually use my dogs for that, they hear so well.

Yep. Nothing brings out the whiners like good news does.

Omigosh!

Looks like cricket is a fairly dangerous game.

Thoughts and prayers for the player and his family.

Are you catching astigmatism? Or is the problem in the non-optical part of the sight apparatus?

My grandmother told me my mother was sent home from an eye exam at school with the diagnosis 'astigmatism'. My grandmother had no idea what that was so her reaction meant it might as well have been 'ebola' or 'plague'.

I think a thread should get an extra 25 tags per 1000 posts.... y'know, just for better referencing

I have never liked the way the popup flash performs on any DSLR. Seems it always creates a shadow where the lens hood is.

I know, take the lens hood off!

Uh huh.

Then any stray light coming in from the side will cause odd refraction artifacts on the image.

No, thank you.

And when one loses the stereophonic hearing then the extensive vinyl LP collection has to go, along with all that high end audiophile gear.

Time to break out the Victrola and the shellac 78 rpm mono records with recordings of the likes of Spike Jones, Myrna Lorrie, Tommy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Bing Crosby, and Janusz Poplawski.

Good times.

One of the drawbacks to aging is that eyes fatigue easily. I read that as something totally different the first time through.
My eyes are so tired.

I think they need to go to bed now.

Good night Gracie.

It's probably a combination of optical (presbyopia) and non-optical. Either way, it seems to be caused by an accumulation of of birthdays.

Trying to imagine losing both...

(And it's hard to express my astonishment over seeing two people in one day knowing the difference between "lose" and "loose" - even if one is German )

My late dad became totally blind from a heavy equipment accident when I was 3, he was 30, back in 1950.
Never a handicap for him though, earned the family living, had a wood workshop, and the best damn fisherman I've ever known.
I'd hate to completely lose my hearing, but I'd take that over my eyesight.
