Cheap smartphone pic, not a 3K since I won't/don't have one.
Nice shot. I like how you placed the tomato in just the right position.

You should do one with your K5.

And then enter it in some photographic contests.

It will take first prize I tell you.

First prize!

By taking large sums of cash out of your wallet that makes it even more smart.

I was tempted to change that, but resisted the urge.

At least it's not written almost eternally on your vehicle license plate. Grrrr state of Texas for that...

69 ... eh ?! That's a good one.

Me = 1313 ... double bad luck for the moment.

Proof in that I just missed a K2 with a K50/1.4 & a K35/3.5 for 85€ total on Le Bon Coin by ten minutes. Merde! *

* I did leave the gentleman my contact info in case the buyer ahead of me does not pay. you never know ...

But not for me, it seems. Finally got message from the post office - something has arrived from a friend in France

Ok, not the best timing since I'm not much at home this time of year... I'll see if I can drop by tomorrow and pick it up anyway.

Let's get this thread back on off topic and talk about what really matters - food. I made some Israeli one today, shakshuka (eggs poached in a stew of tomatoes, garlic, jalapenos and onion with smoked paprika and fresh mint) with pita bread, black olives and hummus. Made the shakshuka and hummus myself, bread and olives from the local turkish supermarket.

Also, I need to learn more about food photography - these pictures are utterly embarrassing ...

Hate to burst your bubble, but I've eaten food before, and hummus ain't food.
Jury's still out on the other stuff.
I'll post up some real food tomorrow.

I've had hummus several times. My experience is that it runs the full gamut from "Ooh, that's good" to spackle.
