Okay, I found it. MF-1 medical camera. I'd forgotten about that one. Instead of hociR, it says "MF-1" on the back.

well, I didn't miss it by as much as I thought... Unlike ZoeB who was out doing something mysteriously "cool", I was parked in an airport where I couldn't get connected to the wifi, and then in a transcontinental sardine tin. Zero hope of getting the coveted 20K

Oh well - home now, borne upon a pair of Racer X's fabulous wings and aiming for the most-posts title!

Bingo ... and it's medical purpose would be ...

I had forgotten about it, too, until one showed quite expensively on eBay Europe.

I was hunting random stuff as usual

The very reason why Hoya bought Pentax: because they had their heads up their... assets.

There's a nearly-new-in-original-box MF-1 with endoscope attachment available even more expensively in Japan.

Oooh... I didn't know the 750D had an all-metal body. Should be able to take some heat, that one.

I think the grip on that model is rather narrow and uncomfortable.

Well, if that grip had been wooden like a 6x7, you wouldn't be saying that ...

The handling might be little front heavy also.

You did not miss much. I am exhausted from the effort and only got a postcard of fireworks for my hard work and diligence.

I agree. I was going to post that to my facebook page, but then remembered that I am a single guy and doing so would not improve my prospects.

Very cool camera, IIRC the viewfinder sports an aerial image (no focus screen).
