Yep, we got three months' worth of rain in a week. And, since most of the rivers in the western part of NC flow southeast, it just added to what SC was getting on their own - that last storm kind of stretched along the border and parked. Our worst fear was that Hurricane Joaquin would make landfall, adding wind to the mix. As wet as the ground is, that would mean millions of trees down on powerlines, roads, houses, etc.

Yep, the guys who say they "read it for the articles" are really going to have to put up or shut up. PB is right, tho' - the Internet has made it so easy to get nudie pix that there's just no money in it any more. Heck, the clickbait ads that my local news station slips in as "more you might like" frequently have raunchier pix than a Playboy cover.

I didn't until I Googled it this morning.

s'truth. When Norm said he knew it would happen when Hefner's daughter took over, I remembered thinking something along those lines, and that made me think - when WAS that? That led to Wikipedia, and the discovery that she ain't boss no mo.

All this kind of ties into some philosophizing I did this weekend as the result of sitting at a traffic light next to a car blasting a profanity-laced song and thinking that if the "forbidden" stuff is commonplace, it becomes boring and stops being "special" - and then what will we use to swear with?
