I can't afford hociR, evil or otherwise, because Mickey mugs me for all my extra money. And what Mickey didn't get, Ford gets jealous & takes the rest!

Mickey's a wimp! I like Donald! Always comes up swinging! Vehicles were invented to drive us nuts and steal our $$. Son works for a Ford dealer so he thinks they are better than the rest.

He really thinks they are, or he says so anyway, knowing which side his bread is buttered.

There was a line in a poem we had to study at high school, something like "the death of the bishop". The line, from many years memory: "my sons, no, my nephews, I know not which", and my English teacher, who taught my father at the same school, said, "I think he did know which".

It took five minutes for gravity to make me start shouting at the tv.

Personally, my fave Sci-fi of recent vintage is Avatar. There wasn't even a microsecond where I thought, "oh, OK, effects not 100% but I'll let that go..."

I just caught Avatar yesterday on the IFC channel (DirectTV).

It was fantastic on my new 55" 4k flatscreen, and I can imagine it was even better in the theaters.

Back to earth...
Not getting anything"hociR" before I pay for all of the puter upgrades I have done lately. My new notebook getting a SSD and HDD knee surgery.
Just did that too. Plus a RAM-ectomy. My computer is now disconcertingly fast.

I went to visit my uncle Ron, the night after watching Gravity. I was in a really bad mood, After I watched Gravity I watched Apollo 13 again. The stench of unwashed romanticism was making my clothing unbearable. Apollo 13 helped cure that, Anyway we had arrange to see Ron who lives 150 miles away for lunch. He turned up with this scowl on his face...I asked him what was wrong. He said, "i'm in a really bad mood, Watched Gravity last night." I said "Watch Apollo 13, it will help wash the taste out of your mouth."

No he seriously likes ford, except for the newfangled auto transmission fiasco that happened last year! Can't remember which model, but he got put on the swap out team cuz he's fast and accurate!

It was mind-blowing in the theater. Director's Cut is even more amazing, although we saw that on DVD, on an older (not flat screen or HD) TV. Still, amazing.

Yes! very well done!

As for Avatar, it is visually fun but otherwise just Ferngully retreaded and pumped up on CG steroids!
