I bought one for the girl who lives with me and another for my mom and stepdad at 199 each. I talked another friend into buying one too, and I got another friend to buy a Q10. I've made Pentaxians of people in the past month.

That's enough for me to hand you the Pentaxian of the Month award, if there was one, and if I was responsible for handing it out. (But there isn't one and I'm not responsible for much of anything.)

I prefer to think of it as more a smaller than normal dose of responsible as opposed to being totally lacking in the quality. After all, even most psychopaths are responsible enough to keep from getting thrown in jail.

ah, I think I get it. It sounds like the same thing I've been accused of. Maybe it goes back to that getting older vs growing up differential.

But won't the dreaded LEDs cause cancer or something? (Kidding - I've had an 'S1 for over a year.)

You can't be young forever, but you can always be immature!

That is true... although I think the LEDs were more reviled than The Mark of Hocir ever was, even though it's 'way easier to turn them off than tape over The Mark.

You say that as if logic has anything to do with these reactions.

Of course! The people who were foaming at the mouth at the mere existence of the K-S1 assured me that they were quite rational about it.

I have a theory that if the hunk-o-plastic FF had been unveiled before the K-S1, the reactions to the latter would have been much more subdued: "Oh, a new entry-level. Looks weird. Whatever." But in the grips of unrequited Fullframe Fever, things got crazy.

Logic is what people resort to after running out of knee-jerk reactions.
