Well. I took the battery off the charger & took a few shots with the 40XS on it. Love it! Way closer to my style than the K-01.

Thanks to this, I went looking for more Siskonpeti clips, and just lost an hour of my life watching "Ihmisten Puolue" (People's Party) instead.

TLDR: in each episode, the five "Party" members - the entire People's Party - discuss the news story of the week, and try to determine the Party position. It almost always ends up being a "compromise" of something semi-reasonable plus something completely opposite and awful tacked on.
Thanks. I just watched episode 1 of Peoples Party. There are 30+ more... No, 40+ more...

I'm on my 5th body in the last 8 years. Several lenses have come and gone. Currently I have a 15, 21, 31, 40, and 70 Ltd. All of them relatively new, except the 40. I've had it 8 years and will likely never part with it. I've had the 70 Ltd over a year and, other than test shots, used it once.
The 40 ltd and XS lenses, in my not so humble opinion, are the jewels in the Pentax crown.
(The 15 and 21 are tied for second)

It's a more complicated formula than that. The future FF photog is N times the photog you are, where:

N= 1.5 * (number of megapixels the fFF has) / (number of MP your camera has) * (weight of fFF) / (weight of your camera) * (list price of their best lens) / (list price of your best lens)

There are some other, fairly minor factors, like years of experience or actual paid work done, but this gives a good first approximation.
No! No! No! Those are last week's equivalence formulas!

This week's are twice as involved and much more comprehensive and take into account solar max and sunspot cycles.

Looks like the view when composing a shot with my Cambo.

Upside down and backwards.
I have the same problem with my Chamonix. I tried rotating the GG 180° but it did not help. What's more, when I pan the camera, the view goes in the opposite direction. You would think for what I paid and the professional reputation of the product that this sort of issue would not make it past final QC...assuming they are doing QC.

I contacted the maker in China and they offered to accept the camera back for full credit, but would not cover the expenses to ship it back. Amateurs!

Did I mention that its ergonomics suck and that it did not even come with a grip?

I just did a quick check and they have NO N. America service facilities for authorized repair! How can they possibly hope to stay in business. I called Precision in Connecticut and they suggested a cabinet maker or machine shop.

I have always thought the Upper Canada Brewing Co makes a particularly fine beer.

I love my 40XS. And my plastic fantastic twins: 35 & 50. I swear if Pentax made a 70mm-ish plastic, I'd buy that too! Less durable? Sure. But what the heck are some folks doing so rambunctious that you're bending & breaking even metal mounts?

Our favourite right now is Muskoka Breweries. Upper Canada was bought out by one of the big breweries , they no longer make the dark, and the lager is brewed as an economy brand.

Muskoka Breweries on the other hand is a real custom brewery, with all decisions on production made on site usually by the brew master.

Muskoka Brewery | The Beers

The other Beer Company of note is Hockley Valley, we like everything they make.
Hockley Brewing Company | This is great beer.

Hockey Valley and Muskoka Brewery both have extremely clean clear water sources.

Our local beer store brings in the Hockley taster pack in, pretty much just for us. Although we've noticed others have started dipping into what we considered to be our private stock. We pick them up two at time so we don't have to argue over who gets what.
