I'm headed back to Raleigh for a week so I'll have to try both again. I agree on nostalgia, I've been going to the one downtown since 1973, so there are quite a few fond memories there.
It took me twenty years to discover that there are things on the menu below "Steakburger, Jr.".

If you get a chance, check out #4 on Strickland Road (inside the beltline, just off Six Forks). It's the oldest of the indoor locations - it feels like they built the dining area around the original walk-up. They have a Vespa scooter hanging from the ceiling, and a Goodberrys across the street!

Wow, does that ever bring back a memory.
When I was in highschool one of the coaches sold snacks out of the gym during the mid morning break. Freezees, donuts, and candy bars. The profits went for unfunded equipment, trips, etc. Every day at the end of the break, just before he'd slam the window closed he'd yell "Alright aree, alright aroo. Last call Freezee and a num num too!"

I'm still trying to lose weight to take some of the weight off my deteriorating joints, you're killing me.

I had three friggin christmas cookies yesterday, and they completely blew my diet, 300 calories over, 100 per cookie, that 0.1 pound right there.

I shudder to think what I'm looking at in that picture.

But, hey, I'm still under 180 pounds, for the first time since 89.

My sisters used to use the term, but, my oldest sister is 10 years younger than me, so I have no idea how it got started, or where they got it from.

Somewhere the term "numb nuts" has to work it's way into the conversation, I just don't see the opening yet.
