And now we have a new word that needs to be added to the tags for this thread.

YYAAEEEOUUH!

Oh Mister Moderator, paging Mister Moderator.

Would you be so kind as to swap YYAAEEEOUUH! for one of the other tags please?

Thanks in advance.

When I used to live in Montreal, where French wine in restaurants is not cheap, my purchases were limited to what was affordable and pronounceable. When I moved to Australia, I discovered what wine is supposed to be. I subsequently learned more about the subject and found that French wine can also be excellent - if you're willing to pay the price. Having said that, there is lots of good French wine at reasonable prices i.e. no high-rank chateaux, but one has to know where and when to find such. I find that restaurants in France are generally pretty good in selecting their "house wines", as opposed to Australia, for example, where "house wine" means cheap wine from a 4-litre box. The first tasting of a genuinely good wine can be quite a revelation.

I poured a little Dyanshine in my sisters Grapette once...and the look on her face as it spewed out of her mouth and all over her new dress assured me it was the foulest taste on earth.
Later that day when my Dad got home, it left a lasting impression on my hiney too.

Regards!

BTW -Racer, it's not too late...if you can find that fire breathing gorilla on the net, order two, I want one myself! I could get these squirrels in order in no time with one of those......Mrs Rupert too!

I'll look around. The Internet is a big place, I know, 'cause I've been out to the end a couple times.

They got a truck stop there. Bill Kirchen wrote a song about it.

That is not an answer to the question. You told us that it was reported to you that shoe polish is the worst taste there is. But you have not explained how you got the first hand knowledge of the taste of shoe polish that enables you to compare the taste of shoe polish and red wine. (Note: we are willing to believe that you have tasted one or more red wines, consistent with your comments, because that is a normal thing for people to taste, perhaps in the act of consuming with greater vigour than is the normal connotation of the word 'taste'.

Ok, maybe you're right.

But don't be too disappointed, boys. There are some good toys out there to be had.

That said, the "NEW" system revealed thing is bogus. I saw this for the first time many years ago.
