I've never had sake.

Sake goes very well with seafood.

Gekkeikan traditional is great served hot, in tiny cups made just for it.

Gekkeikan-Sake - Products - Traditional

Nigori (unfiltered or coarse filtered) is best served ice cold.

I like you Racer, you're one of the good guys, but if you are drinking that pitiful stuff,I will be praying for you. The only thing drinkable made of rice is Budweiser....and that is questionable.

Regards!

Rupert, on this I go with Racer. Otis must have done damage to your palate, too.

Splinters?

Oysters don't have splinters.

Splinters come from wood.

Wood comes from trees.
I'm fairly certain they do - if you splinter them

Shards, then? English ain't my language. Come to think of it, I'm not sure English is a language.

On second thought, it is - pidgin languages are languages, too.

Tip to avoid splinters when eating oysters:
Take them out of the shell before you eat them.

I'll confess, I've eaten one raw oyster in my life.
I simply don't see a reason to ever eat another one.

I have found splinters in some of my grilled food.

Good thing about those splinters, they won't likely get stuck between your teeth.

I'll pray for you too. Saki is the worst of the worst, it's even worse than a lewdfish smoothie.

Regards!

Almost done! It's been two weeks of hard work for an old guy, but I've almost got 'er done!

No more looking at bare insulation like I have the past 10 years....

Better than I imagined it would be...

Just a few little strips on the upper right of the ceiling to install and it's done!

The shop is a wreck, 6 inches deep in sawdust and sanding dust on everything, but it will clean up nicely.

Me? I didn't hold up so well, it's been tough on my old bones and painful on my bad feet. Will I clean up nicely?......hell, I don't think so! Otis calls me the "Big Ugly"....and we all know Otis is never wrong!

Won't be long before I can't do this kind of work, but I'm gonna go as long as I can. I already have a few new projects on the drawing board.....

The best compliment on the ceiling was from Mrs Rupert......the Church Lady that never uses profanity (excepting at squirrels and raccoons)....when she said..."Damn, you do good work!"
Regards!

I dunno, kind of liked the industrial look of the old ceiling.
And seeing pics of Mrs Rupert more so than of you.

Kidding aside, nice job you old geezer!

Well Jim, you could stand to spend a few minutes in front of a mirror with some shaving cream and a razor . . . . . .

Aye, but it is only pitiful stuff if one over indulges in it.

Budweiser is not even on my long list of drinkable fluids. The only time I ever drink it is when someone else is buying. And even then I look forward to the moment it is gone and I can move on to something more worthy of my taste Buds.

No way! This is much better!

Mrs Rupert always looks good.....well, maybe not always?

BTW- I took a pretty good lick from that brush......

Thanks, it was damn hard work....25 years ago it would have been difficult, but not hard. As you get older lots of things get hard....and unfortunately a few things don't...unless you got some cash for those little pills!

Squirrels like it, so it can't be all bad. They only drink it for the buzz, which may be the only reason anyone would drink it?

I took a shower, washed my hair for the first time in two weeks and may even shave.......will it make a difference? Most likely it will just waste time, but I have to go to town and Mrs Rupert complains when her friends see me on the street and ask if I have been kicked out and gone homeless?

Regards!
