Very true, they are build for a purpose.
The newer ones pay more attention to the crew comfort, ie air-conditioning.

I just spent two hours drilling a very hard concrete floor with anchor holes to hold base anchors for some cabinets. Every damn hole was off by a mile.
I can't recall ever making such a critical mistake in concrete drilling, knowing how difficult it is to begin with. They were not even off in a predictable pattern...just random holes relating to....nothing? Too tired to even try to figure it out tonight, but I am going to bed very unhappy.

The cab and sleeper of my truck was about 65 degrees. Fahrenheit.

I couldn't wait to get back to it.

When I was in the army we had no aircon in our trucks. Daytime, it could get to 50degC (122F) inside. If it was a warm night, I'd sleep on the roof, if it was cold, on the hood, for the engine warmth.
