Courvoisier is some pretty good stuff. As for Scotch; I'm a fan of the Islay malts.
i'm inclined to agree. Islay is a nice region for scotch whisky, as I recall I have some Laprothaig, Lagavulin,Ardberg and Caol lla in my cabinet. Talisker has similar character, however it is made further up north from islay.

back to Cognac. If you want to duplicate the taste of Hennessy cognac; pour some cheap brandy in a glass and add a liberal amount of ground black pepper.
yeah I have heard that, it explains perfectly why i'm not a big fan of Hennessy cognac, Martell and Remy Matin ( the makers of Cointreau) are said to be rather good.

I actually found out that good alcohol tastes better than cheap stuff. I can't stand vodka, but grey goose and crystal head aren't bad.

I thought this thread could use a new word, so here it is:
Skookie, aka skillet cooked cookie.
I made two, cooked 'em on a grill, and topped a portion of one with cookie dough ice cream.

I'm not a sweet eater, but those could tempt me easily.

Back on a diet.....went to the Doc yesterday for a place on my left hand....and discovered I have gained 8 # in the past few months. I think I know why.

I thought limiting myself to a half bag and half jar for breakfast was a healthy thing.....but I guess it isn't?

So ....no cookies for me...it's back to oatmeal with no sugar for breakfast until the 8# is gone....

BTW- Take your cookies to that Shark Tank TV show and get rich! I guarantee skillet cooked giant cookies would sell like crazy! Just take a quick walk through Wallyworld and you will see hundreds of potential buyers.....all would be thrilled with a giant cookie. Top it off by offering to deep fry them in pure lard......you couldn't fry them fast enough to keep up!
