Courvoisier is some pretty good stuff. As for Scotch; I'm a fan of the Islay malts.
Okay, back to Cognac. If you want to duplicate the taste of Hennessy cognac; pour some cheap brandy in a glass and add a liberal amount of ground black pepper.
Yeah, I'd like to go back to Cognac ... last time there, I saw Robert Plant and sampled some of the local production.

Iggy Pop & the Cranberries this year ... maybe.

Cognac? There are some good wine to be found there, but for stronger stuff I'll look to Islay.

Oh well, no time to post here. I'm too busy not buying a K-1.

I rarely drink any Cognac, maybe a shot in some black coffee on a very cold day...which is more and more rare here. Not that it is anything awful like the shoe polish they call wine. Cognac is smooth and easy. I keep it around for making the best steak sauce in the world. It takes a stick of butter and a half quart of heavy cream to get started....so I don't make it too often.
My Mom even praises it and she won't touch anything with any alcoholic beverage in it.....except this sauce, it is irresistible.

When were you and Robert Plant in Cognac, North Carolina? Cognac (pronounced "kog-nack") is a tiny little village near the border with that other Carolina. There's a rail line through there, and the story goes that when a train derailed, a lot of the locals turned out to help clean up. They especially liked some wine they found...

I feel sort of big mouthed with my high post count, and everyone knows I'm more the shy type. Most of those posts are by Otis, which explains most of them.

Just had a complaint lodged by a girly squirrel against Otis for assault on her ear...it does look pretty deformed.

Otis says she asked him to nibble on her ear....and he did! Case dismissed!

EDIT: Wow, I think the entire website lost it for a few minutes there...

Another problem created by speed limited trucks is a phenomenon called 'cluster trucking'. This is where 3 or more limited rigs lumber along, completely blocking traffic. Bad enough in good weather, it becomes quite dangerous in periods of inclement weather, rain or snow. Very hazardous.
I have seen the WSP* pull over a whole gang on the Chehalis to Longview stretch of I-5. Grin...ear-to-ear...as those guys just sit by the side of the road waiting to talk with Smokey. I wondered how many had to stop at the scales for a "safety inspection" in addition to the citation for improper lane travel.

FWIW, I have seen Greyhound buses do this during the heavy holiday periods, but they were working for speed and to enable a "free pass" option for any of the group when needed.

No need. The K-1 is just a K-3ii that had too much to eat over the holidays.
