Wow! I've not seen a Twinkie in years. Now, combined with bacon - that could be a whole new culinary delecacy right there! I'm impressed.

....or cause a massive steam explosion which would throw more of the burning gas cylinders around.

Mark, I had to try this using my grill, much more healthy than frying.
Twinkie and a thin strip of bacon, cooked indirect for about 20 minutes.
It spilled its guts, but was still very tasty!
A work in progress.

Now if you'd batter and deep fry that in lard you'd really have something!

Lovely, Rob. But I think you missed the point on the health front with grilling rather than frying. It's bacon and a Twinkie!

But there's no smoked/grilled flavor that way.

Bacon, Velveeta, Cheez Whiz, and white bread eaters are very health conscious people. We don't cut corners to save a little time.

As I said, "make it mad".

Deep fried bacon wrapped Twinkies, sorry but I prefer to taking a more direct path to self destruction:

I would say loose gas cylinders rupturing or breaking their valves, then an electrical spark or sparks from steel cylinders striking the pavement, is what caused the rapid fire.
Aren't they supposed to use gas regulators that won't spark?

I hope you have something good in that Glencairn glass.
I saw awhile back, on Amazon, a version of that for Canadian whisky.
The purpose of the Glencairn glass is to concentrate the aroma and therby accentuate or intensify the flavor.
Why in the world would anyone want to do that with Canadian whisky?
