More shy and reserved than whom?
Rush? Donald? Jon Stewart, maybe?

Rush or Donald maybe.
Yep, but I could argue that what I say has more value than either of those guys.......but I wouldn't say it of course, because that would be too political!

Never heard them talk about their Moms?.....maybe their Moms don't/didn't like them all that much? That could be easily imagined......

My Mom loves me.......most of the time.

Regards!

While you have been getting all mushy about Mom, Otis has gone awry...

Nope...they are off on one of those lewdfish eating parties again. They may be puking for hours before they are able to get back with us?

Maybe voting? It is Super Tuesday. Otis says he doesn't see anything "Super" about it from what he has seen in the past 6 months.

What did you see Otis?

We know Otis is never wrong....

What does that, like Velveeta, have to do with food?

Ha, I lured one out!
My Jeff Foxworthy daily calendar today says:
you might be a redneck if you eat Hamburger Helper without the hamburger

When I was a kid, before Hamburger Helper, my mother found (or was given) a recipe for what was basically Hamburger Helper from scratch.
She missed the line in the recipe that said to boil the macaroni first.
We ate bologna sandwiches that night instead.

My ex made chicken and rice casserole, a lot.
I was so damn sick of something I didn't care much for to begin with.
When my present wife and I were dating her first time cooking for me she made......
you guessed it.
I nipped that in the bud!

My mother and father liked bell peppers stuffed with Spanish rice. We had them regularly. I HATE Spanish rice! There's only one way I really care for rice and that's plain, sticky white rice. Other forms I dislike but I HATE Spanish rice (did I mention that?).
My wife and I hadn't been married long when she asked if I liked stuffed bell peppers. I suspect my reaction was quite similar to yours.

I like a few casseroles...once in a while. One of the few things I like that is also one of the few things Mrs Rupert can or will cook is round sliced fried potatoes. She said she will give me a break and cook them tonight.

Served on sliced wheat bread with a slice of Velveeta they are better than a steak. Some hot sauce will spice them up nicely too....one of my favorite meals!

Fried okra sandwiches is another.....mouth watering!

Regards!
