Saw that on a news site last night, while the other matter was proceeding.

I wonder how she was able to drive that.
It reminds me of Birnum Wood moving in one of the movie versions of THAT play I saw when back in HS, when said movie was already old. Old Argus was a great English teacher.

Please forgive me for this digression.
It's something my daughter liked on FB.
Possibly already seen by many/most of you, but a first for me.

This thread is eternal....like Otis.....and we have our own private Mod. We need to keep our Mod happy, and I do my best. Thursday is just a delivery day away and once I get him addicted, we've got him in the palm of our hands....just call me Lobbyist Rupert!

I want to spend a moment...or two ....here debunking the rumor Otis is spreading that recent events have caused old Rupert to attempt Hari Kari. He is even saying that I am so dumb that I got the wrong side of my wrist and like everything else I attempt, in particular photography....I fail.

The truth is I had a place on my wrist come up that had to be removed by a surgeon yesterday. I think it was a result of something I got in there when I was installing that new ceiling in my shop a while back, but the surgeon took no chances and cut a very wide margin around it when he took it off...just in case it was something worse.

Gonna be a little....or a lot...sore a few days. Mobility is not too good either, can't flex my wrist, but it will heal just fine and in a few days I'll be back to normal. Meanwhile, Otis keeps sending me instructions on how to "get it right". He says I can make a lot of people really happy if I just follow them.

You know, I sometimes defend Otis.....I'm sort of slow, I admit, but am beginning to ask myself.....why????

Regards!

Damn Rupert, that looks nasty!
Hope you're a faster healer than I am in my older age, even a small wound takes a long time compared to when I was younger.
and it doesn't take much for me to get wounded, thinner skinned maybe??

I heal pretty quickly, but I too have that thin skin and am constantly getting cut or scraped and most of the time don't even realize it until I see the blood stream. I take a lot of aspirin due to my bad feet, so that makes me bleed like crazy...and even a little bump will cause a big ugly bruise. Otis always reminds me that eventually I will die and all those problems will be gone. That Otis.....he's always right!

Regards!

Thanks to Thoog who used his good sense and yellow carded me before I really let rip. Thanks to Rupert and Normhead for engaging me, and thanks to Parallax for being a good, stern, moderator.

Ten grand for a twelve year old car? That's ridiculous.

My first car, a 1962 Chevrolet Impala, was 10 years old when I bought it.

Price?

$200.

Hey, my day is just beginning here. Off work at 11:30, home by 12:10 am, in bed by 1, up at 8.

Having my morning cuppa Joe, and catching up on the latest discussions of the livE hociR and penance from our friend from Oz who was trying to start a war or something.

Sleep will not be on the agenda for another 13 or 14 hours.

Certainly enough to keep me from buying a K3.

He said really bad things about you and Otis came to your defense...a big fight occurred and a few people were seriously injured. No squirrels were injured, but in the end both you and Otis were blamed.

Other than that, things are normal here today.

Hah, so you got one!

All you need now is a wooden handle. And WLF. I take it for granted that you already have the lenses needed...

Oh.

Just a reminder.
