Sadly, not only do they not like it.....it seems to infuriate them if I put it near their feeders. Not sure why...though Otis claims it is proof they have more sense than I do.
Possums and Raccoons love it.....they could eat a ton of it, but squirrels...no way. I've even coated some in peanut butter and they won't get near it.

Regards!

Wanted a hot ham and toasted cheese sandwich for lunch.
Fresh out of Velveeta, so I sliced off some real, sharp, cheddar cheese, put it on the hot ham in the skillet, and it just sat there.
No melting, no smooth liquid gold texture, just boring old cheese.

Here's what the V can do for a portobella burger:

Proof in living color of the power of Velveeta! What do squirrels know anyhow?

Do I see a slice of onion in there? Damn that looks good...and it's lunch time...I'm hungry!

According to my highly scientific Google research*, adult squirrels are lactose intolerant. They are just being wise to avoid the V.

(*and Google auto-completed, so someone asked the question before me!)

Otis verified your findings...but did say there are exceptions...Chrissie is one he mentioned!

There is sliced and wrapped Velveeta? Didn't know that.

Well, it isn't really sliced. The concoction is poured onto a conveyor belt, then squares are formed by paddles, followed by the ceremonial wrapping with cellophane.

I think I might still have a roll of K-64, 36 exposures, in our spare fridge.
Bet I could find a mailer too, if I dig around in my messy basement.
