The original, and still the best:

why I won't buy a k3 (Warning: Satire Thread) - PentaxForums.com
The prophecy foretells that on the day that The Thread becomes the longest thread on PF, PentaxDude will return, bearing a K-3 and a mighty roll of black gaffer tape. He will defeat the live Hocir, and bestow gifts of beer, bacon, and cheese upon all the True Believers. Sadly, on that day (or the next business day), Tokyo will be destroyed by a flood of lutefisk and Velveeta.

I made the mistake of dropping an F bomb around my grandma when I was 6. You never forget.
I remember my brother getting his mouth washed out with soap more than once. One occasion however wasn't due to him spouting expletives but due to the fact that him and his friends ( maybe 7 or 8 yrs old) found some 'balloons' one day. We lived in an apartment complex. They had many 'balloons' blown up everywhere and were quite proud of their acquisition and were outside tossing them around and had some stashed inside the house too........ Until mom came back from her errand and seen their 'balloon stash'. I just remember a lot of commotion combined with sounds of disgust, finding the parents of the other kids, and my brother being hauled to the sink and being subjected to the dish soap. Mom said she really really wanted to use the Lysol. After that she had to explain prophylactics to my brother.

When I was young I asked my dad, "What's in those machines in the gas station restroom?"
He said, "I don't know son."

Oh, I remembered it, I just thought it belonged on the "catastrophe" side of the ledger. Here, I'll fix it:

The prophecy foretells that on the day that The Thread becomes the longest thread on PF, PentaxDude will return, bearing a K-3 and a mighty roll of black gaffer tape. He will defeat the live Hocir, and bestow gifts of beer, bacon, and cheese upon all the True Believers and some lutefisk for the Mod. Sadly, on that day (or the next business day), Tokyo will be destroyed by a flood of lutefisk (hopefully not the same lutefisk) and Velveeta.

Better?
