My living room looks a mess. We're not anywhere near done & the mortgage people are looking to probably close earlier than our projected May 6.

Moving is never fun, is it!

The last time I moved it took 3 months.

Then I spent a month or two getting the old place ready to sell.

But... but... what's the point of power if you aren't going to abuse it?!

The last time we did a serious move, it involved a 40ft shipping container and a ship and a few continents and islands. I hate moving! Having said that, it's a bit like Christmas when the container finally turns up.

Well Amy, just remember, no matter how bad the packing process seems......

You have the unpacking to look forward to.

Otis says that even with a cop on every corner here he is not afraid to go out on a limb. He's not even afraid to do a little squirrel politics........

Unpacking is easy - just get a bag of cheap stick-on bows, put one on every box, and pretend it's your birthday. "A box of dishes? For me? Oh, you shouldn't have!"

No one campaigns "vote for me" any more. Instead, it's "The other squirrels are low-down cowardly flea-ridden vermin who want to dig up your garden and send your nuts overseas, but not Otis! Otis likes what YOU like! (I'm Otis squirrel, and I approved of this message)".

Well, it's a given that Otis is fearless and will just outright kill all of your enemies. That's pretty hard to beat!

Last November a large tree fell onto our neighbors garage.
The tree was cleared away, and the roof was covered with a tarp, until recently when carpenters removed the whole roof and started building a room on top.
That's been my entertainment, watching from our deck as the room went up.

Yesterday they worked overtime in the rain to get it fully covered.
I kept thinking, oh to be young again and go at it like these young men.

Exactly my thoughts as I viewed this. I feel like only a shell of what I used to be and be able to do. I've been on roofs a million times....and two of those times ended in disaster. Young and sure footed and agile....it was wonderful!
