Thanks Jim!
Update.
Last night we had the pork chops.

Jim, there's not a lot that we disagree on anymore, but..........................
As good as the pork chops were, NOTHING compares to the brisket!

Well, it is hard to disagree with that. The pork chops are my favorite but it's hard not to love anything from Coopers.

Maybe the pork loin is a great choice too...
Cooper's BBQ Taster. Selection of Texas BBQ and smoked meats-Cooper's BBQ

I've never had anything there I didn't love...except the sauce.....what did you think of the sauce?

It's always better at the Llano site standing over the choices...so hard to choose!

Regards! & Happy Birthday to you and Donna......made damn sure I didn't forget!

The sauce, as a sauce, isn't much of a sauce. As, what I think is its intended purpose is, it's great. I think its purpose is to add moisture without diluting (as water would) or changing (as bbq sauce would) the flavor. In that regard it's a nice addition.

You may be right....or maybe to marinate? It always seemed too salty for me.....I don't care much for salt on most things. The meats at Coopers are wonderful without any added sauce.
Mrs Rupert is a sauce person.....Heinz 57 on any meat she eats at home. It infuriates me when I grill up some fine fillets and she drowns them in it.

19 hours and not a soul here? Otis claims this thread is as "discontinued" as the K3. I'm still holding out hope that you guys found a giant Lewdfish and after gorging on it, have spent the last 19 hours puking it up?

Get well!

I'm thinking they all went out looking for whale vomit.

Too bad Lewdfish vomit isn't as valuable.

This has me wondering if raccoon vomit has any value? I just washed down my deck this morning and I could have washed away a lot of cash?

BTW- I think raccoons are lactose intolerant......they love Velveeta but it doesn't love them. Who'd have ever known Velveeta actually had milk products in there!

The neighbor girls just backed out of their driveway and realized that they ran something over. They stopped their car at the end of the driveway, as they got out I hear one say, "Oooh, what is that?" Then both got out walked over and began to follow a splat trail to the Splat.... "Ughhhh, iccckkk, gagggnhhhk, ohh yuk." Insert shivers of disgust, then they got back in their vehicle and left. Wonder if they ran over a squirrel?

Most adult mammals are lactose intolerant, since they do not produce lactase once they stop nursing. Humans of Northern European descent are actually the exception, not the rule.

Don't believe what you hear. While speculators drove raccoon vomit prices sky-high in the 90s, the bubble burst years ago. (it was the most disgusting episode of Wall $treet Week I've ever seen)

It was probably the Hunt brothers. They didn't learn their lesson with silver bullion fiasco.

So...we have degenerated to raccoon vomit and bird poop. I hope to hell Mrs Rupert doesn't get back over here again. I am so tired of hearing "This is how you spend your days?"

I "need some adult friends", but I don't like any of them I know very much...so why is it I should need them?

Bacon haters need to look up the word "friend", because they are not likely to know the true meaning otherwise.

Friends can live without raccoon vomit or bird poop, but not without bacon.
